In addition, the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan must be availed by eligible members within ninety (90) days after the proclamation of a state of calamity by the Office of the President or the Sangguniang Bayan for their area of residence.
How to be eligible for a Pag-IBIG Fund Calamity Loan?
In order to be eligible for the loan, you must have the following:
- At least 24 months of membership savings in Pag-IBIG Regular Savings
- Active member with at least one (1) monthly contributions with the last six (6) months prior to the date of loan application
- Account must not be in default if there is a current PagIBIG Housing or Multi-Purpose loan MPL and/or a Calamity Loan
- Proof of income
On top of this, the borrower must also be a Filipino national and must reside in an area that has been designated a State of Calamity by the President's Office or the Local Sangunian authority.
How much Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan amount can I borrow?
Pag-IBIG members may borrow up to 80% of their total regular savings, which includes their monthly payments, their employer's contributions, and cumulative profits earned.
Your entire Pag-IBIG Regular Savings less your outstanding Multi-Purpose and/or Calamity Loan balance will be used to calculate the amount of loan you will get if you have any outstanding balance for Pag-IBIG Fund MPL and/or Calamity Loan.
Keep in mind that the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan has an annual interest rate of 5.95% per annum.

When you apply for a calamity loan from Pag-IBIG, you must provide the following documents:
• Accomplished Calamity Loan Application Form
• At least two (2) valid IDs
• Declaration of being affected by calamities for employed members
• Proof of income
• Selfie showing your cash card and ID card
Steps for Online Loan Application
To apply for a Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan, just choose one of the following methods of online application:
Via Virtual Pag-IBIG
Step 1. Visit www.pagibigfundservices.com/virtualpagibig
Step 2. Select "Apply or Manage Loans" and select "Apply for a Short-term Loan" to begin the application process.
Step 3. Verify that you have all the required documentation then click "Proceed."
Step 4. Select "Calamity Loan" from the Select Loan Type drop-down menu.
Step 5. Input your Pag-IBIG membership ID number or MID.
Step 6. To verify, click "Validate your MID number."
Step 7. Complete your contact information after your MID number has been verified.
Step 8. You will get an OTP on your mobile phone.
Step 9. Click "Proceed" once you've read the Data Privacy agreement.
Step 10. Enter your OTP and click "Proceed."
Step 11. Once you've completely reviewed your Calamity Loan application form, click "Next."
Step 12. Select whether you have a Cash Card or a Loyalty Plus Card.
Step 13. Provide your card number then click “Check cash card status.”
Step 14. Continue with the following step if your credit card is valid.
Step 15. Upload your Calamity Loan Application (both front and back), a scanned valid ID, and a selfie.
Step 16. Send in your application.
Step 17. Your reference number will be given to your registered mobile phone number.
Via E-MAIL filing
The online application for the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan may also be submitted by e-mail. In the event of this COVID-19 pandemic, submitting loan applications through email is the safest option, according to Pag-IBIG. Here's how to do it:
Step 1. Fill up and sign the online calamity loan application form. There should be two witnesses who sign the document as well.
Step 2. Step 4. Submit the completed application form, with your signature and the signature of your employer, as well as a valid photo ID and a cash card, to the Pag-IBIG email address associated with the main office of your company.
