The COVID-19 pandemic shifted our normal lifestyle in a full circle. From our outgoing and active affairs, our life slowly turns into a restricted and, basically, a more home buddies kind of way of life.

This sounds depressing and anxiety-triggered, especially for individuals who were always on the go and loved socializing. Gloomy and dull as it may seem, we need to make this bit of sacrifice to help our medical frontliners in their battles against the novel coronavirus.

So, while we spend most of our time being cooped at home, let's check some of the new everyday routines that the majority of us do in this pandemic era.

How to stay productive at home?

In order to feel more productive even though most of us are just staying at home, we can try these simple yet meaningful practices:

1. Fixing your bed

Some individuals believe that making the bed is a waste of time since you only get to sleep on it once a night. But in reality, making the bed is a lot more than a simple task since it can mean a way to start the day off on the right foot. This is a helpful yet straightforward method to get your day off to a good start and ensure that you'll get the most out of it.

At the very least, you've done one thing by making your bed. When you start the day by clearing your bed, you'll have a sense of accomplishment that will inspire you to do more during the day.

2. Sweeping the house's common area

And since you start by making your bed, it's pretty good if you will also begin your morning cleaning and sweeping your house's common area. This is an essential practice, especially now that we are facing a pandemic.

Maintaining a clean and orderly home helps to cultivate a positive character, as it keeps the body, mind, and spirit in harmony. For a healthy lifestyle, cleanliness must be maintained both visibly and inwardly to assist us in maintaining a positive outlook on our lives.

3. Jogging or exercising

Nearly every part of your health may be improved with regular exercise, which is a great way to get started. Regular exercise may help you feel better and sleep better by increasing the production of hormones that make you happy. In addition to helping you look and feel better, losing weight and keeping it off, and lowering your risk of chronic illnesses, it may also help you lose weight. This is also vital in strengthening our immune system with the threat of novel coronavirus just lurking in the air.

4. Appreciating your work

It might be really much more stressful and pressuring to work these days since everyone is adjusting to working remotely, but thinking it as a blessing that you are still employed and earning money in this time of crisis can be a great start to motivate and inspire you in finishing that high volume of workload that you have.

What to do and see in Sto. Tomas Batangas?

Located at the foot of the famed Mt. Makiling, Santo Tomas is one of the oldest settlements in Batangas. It is located 60 kilometers south of Manila and is famed as the birthplace of General Miguel Malvar, the last Filipino general to surrender to the American invaders.

Thirty barrios are now in use. In their natural state, the indigenous people were reverent, peaceful, and submissive to the rule of law.

The Dominican Prince Sto. Tomas de Aquino, to whom the majority of the town's early friars belonged, was awarded the honor of naming the town's whole district after himself. This makes the City of Sto. Tomas is the most unique not only in the Province of Batangas but as for the entire country as well.
