Christmas Caroling at Lumina Binangonan and Tarlac

Lumina Homes visited some homeowners in Lumina Tarlac and Lumina Binangonan whose loved ones are Overseas Filipino Workers. Watch the team as they did a Christmas caroling with a twist!

Lumina Rizal and Lumina Tarlac recently made a timely activity for its OFW homeowners. 

It's pretty unfortunate that because of the pandemic that is still threatening our country and the whole world, not all of our overseas Filipino workers can go back home here in our country. This is the reason why the Lumina Rizal and Lumina Tarlac teams both visited the family of our OFW homeowners to celebrate with them Juan Love this Christmas.

And as part of this Juan Love this Christmas program, Give Love from Abroad: Pamaskong Lumina Raffle Promo for OFWs is one of Lumina Homes' ways of saying thank you to our OFWs over the holiday season.

Our first stop is in the house of Mrs. Naeza Corpin, wife of Jeson Corpin, a seafarer, and a homeowner from Lumina Binangonan. Mrs. Corpin's family has been living in the Lumina Binangonan community for almost a year.

During the interview, she explained her husband's job as an OFW and why they chose Lumina Binangonan as the community provider for their family.

“Seafarer yung asawa ko and usually sa Europe yung biyahe nila. Eight years na po siya bilang OFW.”

(My husband is a seafarer in Europe. He's working as an OFW for eight years now.)

“Ang mas nagustuhan namin sa place is yung location saka yung ambiance.”

(What we like about living here is the location and the ambiance of the community.)

She also shared that she only plans to celebrate Christmas with her family and wishes that they always have good health and receive more blessings from God in the future.

She also gave a message for her husband this Christmas Season.

“Message ko po sa asawa ko syempre po yung laging mag-iingat saka huwag pababayaan yung sarili. Magdasal lang po palagi.”

(My message to my husband is, of course, for him to always take care of himself and don't forget to pray.)

Meanwhile, she was surprised upon receiving the small token of gratitude from the Lumina Binangonan team and expressed her appreciation to Lumina Homes.

“Sana mas marami pa ang magkaroon ng bahay kasi mas maganda yung may sarili kang bahay.”

(I wish that more and more people could have a house they can call their own because having it can give you a lot of benefits.)

In the end, she also gave a short message to her daughter, who is currently working abroad.

“Ang message ko, kailangan mag-ipon siya para sa pamilya at para mabayaran din niya ito bago mag-maturity date ang kanilang loan. Kasi ito ang number one na sinabi ko sa kanya na mag-invest habang bata pa. Kaya ayun, sinunod naman niya.”

(My message for her is to continue saving for her family and to be able to pay the house in full before the maturity date of the house loan. Since this is my foremost advice to her—to invest while still young. And it's a good thing that she followed it.)

“Maica sana ngayong Pasko, makauwi ka para magsama-sama tayo. Kaya lang impossible dahil pandemic ngayon pero try mo din kung payagan ka ng boss mo.”

(Maica, I hope you can be with us this Christmas. Although I know it's impossible due to the pandemic, and you can still try to ask your boss if they will allow you to go home this year.)

“I miss you, anak. Sana lahat tayo magsama-sama ngayong Pasko. We love you.”

(I miss you. I hope we can all be together this Christmas. We love you.)
