2 May 2020Watch Mean of Lumina Business Development Group as she talks about Cavite — its different towns, top destinations, house and lot for sale, and more.
Aside from being tagged as the Land of the Brave in the Philippines, the Province of Cavite is also famous for its Kapeng Barako.
Café Amadeo
Café Amadeo is the most famous producer of Kapeng Barako from Cavite. The Cooperative Café Amadeo was created on June 28, 2002, and was officially registered on that day. An essential source of employment and revenue for residents of Amadeo has been restored thanks to it. Initially, the co-op had 20 members, most of whom were green coffee bean sellers and producers, including millers, dealers, and farmers. Cooperative members are pleased to be descendants of the 'PAHIMIS' organization, a unique
Thanksgiving Coffee Festival of Amadeo Cavite.
Café Amadeo Development Cooperative is involved in the significant processing and promotion of coffee blends for both local and foreign markets. All of their 'Pahimis and Premium Blend' coffee is roasted in their highland Cavite region using only the best green beans, including Robusta, Arabica Liberica, and Excelsa. In this way, the cooperative can demonstrate that the product represents excellent coffee from the Philippines, creates new employment, and supports the local economy.
Where to go?
Aside from their potent and quality blend of coffee, Cavite is also well-known for its fabulous travel destinations that your family will surely enjoy. Let's see and check out some of them.
Sky Ranch
The Sky Ranch Tagaytay is a recently created amusement park in Tagaytay City, in the Province of Cavite. This is also quickly becoming one of the city's most popular attractions. The rides and activities at Sky Ranch Tagaytay are well-balanced and carefully chosen. These rides and activities are fantastic because of their affordability. A large majority of the rides are under P100. Kids and adults alike will have a great time riding the rides that best suit their interests.
To satisfy visitors' appetites, there are also various restaurants and food stands in the Sky Ranch Tagaytay area that you will surely enjoy trying.
The park's strategic position is as impressive as its array of attractions, entertainment, and dining options. Taal Volcano and Taal Lake may be seen in a nice view from the park. In addition, the city of Tagaytay is also known for its chilly weather, which contributes to the pull of travelers to this great and affordable amusement park.
San Agustin Church
Sta. Cruz Parish is a Roman Catholic cathedral church in Tanza, Cavite, Philippines, recognized as the Diocesan Shrine of Saint Augustine. San Agustin Holy Cross, the town's patron saint, is also the town's patroness. The National Historical Institute of the Philippines placed a historical marker on the cathedral, making it a historical site.
Cardinal Luis Antonio De Tagle was placed as an assistant priest to Mendez Church following his ordination, making the church much more famous than it already is for its wedding venue.
Located in Cavite, it is the only Twin Towers church in Luzon and one of the most noteworthy in the country. However, despite its recent refurbishment in 2005, the Mendez Church, or St. Augustine Parish as it is formally called, was founded in 1881. Although some sources said it had been constructed in 1712, the church was destroyed during World War II. One intriguing fact is that despite having undergone a considerable refurbishment, the church bells from 1883 are still on exhibit these days.
Corregidor Island
"Isla ng Corregidor," or "Island of Corregidor," was recognized by the Spaniards in the 16th century as a key defensive point. "Island of the Corrector" was a moniker given to the island since it was the spot where all ships entering Manila were inspected. From the Spanish-American War until American colonization, the fortified island has been the scene of several wars.
However, the island's oldest feature is a lighthouse that dates back to 1853, although most of the beautiful tropical island is dominated by World War II-era ruins. Additionally, there are stores, a movie theater, and an outdoor swimming pool that were built by troops who were stationed here many years ago.
Corregidor served as the temporary seat of the Philippine government during the Japanese invasion of the Philippines in 1941. Since they were abandoned decades ago by their owners, the buildings and defenses have remained undisturbed, making them seem as though the combat had just concluded. In terms of the eeriest parts of the island, it's hard to beat the vast underground passages.
The island has been named a national monument and a war memorial by the government. Remnants in honor of those who fought and died here have been preserved for future generations.
Road development
To make your travel to Cavite a lesser hassle, one of the road developments built in this area is the Bataan Cavite Interlink Bridge project.
Bataan Cavite Interlink Bridge
The Build Build Build Program's newest project by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is this one. Currently under construction in Manila Bay, Philippines, is a 32.15 km long cable-stayed Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge planned to reduce travel time from Bataan to Cavite from five hours to 40 minutes.
